Preview of "Please Give Me a Job!" Episode 7

Oh cool, I got the chance to return to the show for one last time!

It was an interesting sight to see the reaction of the rest of the participants when I stepped into Segi College again. Nice to see that there are those happy faces rather than all moans and groans and "why him" look.

And what is the task? To organize a press conference for "So You Think You Can Dance" and "Project Runway" in 10.5 hours. From what the boss at 8TV taught me, unless it is a crisis/emergency a standard time to have a good press conference takes at least 1 week to prepare!

Oh wow.

Nonetheless, work must be done. So there's all the usual discussion, calling, typing, thinking, sweating, etc. And yes, there are stuff ups as well...uncooperative external contacts la, wrong orders la, shitty press releases of mine la, this la, that la. Bugger! ><

I was surprised with one of the members in the other team though. Had the person not stuffed up from the beginning, chances are the other team would have steamrolled my team.

Then again, why do I care? As long as I enjoy myself this time that's all that matters right :)

So once again, 8TV, 10.30p.m. tonight!

Synopsis from 8TV:

The remaining 5 graduates gets a tip or two when they meet the

Note:I gotta admit, there were some tension between all of us at the end of this task...particularly on past events/mistakes/arguments. I ended up not remembering a lot of the verbal issue, but I do hope that all of us would fucking forget about our past problems and just move on already.

Tiger FC Season Final @ Bangsar Village

A non-footballing friend of mine gave this ticket-lookalike brochure on Tiger FC's party showing for the FA Cup Final between Chelsea and Manchester United. Since I've never been to a Tiger FC event, I thought I should go and feel the atmosphere.

After all, the brochure promised much:

Uoohhh...I wonder whose autographed is that? Could it be a signature from Ronaldo or Rooney? Or a not-so-interesting signature of Lampar and Mourinho's Doggy?

So I followed my football-kakis to Bangsar Village (6 of us in 1 car, and all boys...not too much fun at the back I can tell you). When we arrived at the carpark around 9 p.m. it was quite packed already. Luckily, we were able to find spare seats and sat at a decent location. There was an old man sitting beside us and basically I had a verbal sparring with him on who will win the FA Cup (He's 71 and proclaimed to love Chelsea since he was a kid).

Phat Fabes and Serena C were the Tiger FC emcees, as well guest PJ Roberts commenting on the two teams. PJ Roberts predicted that MU will win...good on ya mate! Good to know that Serena C's part of the MU fans too :) Too bad Phat Fabes had the Blues in him.

Drunken Tiger sight #1

Then there was the Tiger FC dance team...which weren't very interesting to watch to be honest. There wasn't a really hot dancer in sight.

Drunken Tiger sight #2

Forget all that though. Once the game is on, all of us are glued to the screen.

Kick-off!

The usual words of "Offside!", "Foul la!" "Shoot!" and all words football can be heard.

(10 minutes later....)

Yawn.

I can't believe this was such a boring final!!!

Half-time 0-0. Phat Fabes and Serena C attempts to cheer up a very bored crowd.

Normal full-time 0-0. Much better than the first half, but still boring. Rooney should have scored on a couple of occasions.

PJ Roberts mentioned that it might go to either a 1-0 win or a penalty shoot-out. Oh no...I don't like penalty shoot-outs!

Extra time 1st half 0-0. Ronaldo was walking rather than running. That's bad.

5 minutes to the penalty shoot-out...

DAMN IT! Why must you score now Doggy Drogba!!

The old man beside me was basically doing "I told you so" look. I just shut up.

Man Utd couldn't do anything about it. So the final score was 1-0.

So while the almost 90% MU fans at the event went all gloomy and heads down, the 10% Chelsea fans were at their festive mood to the max. Phat Fabes was smiling big alright.

Not planning to leave the place completely down and empty-handed, I managed to meet up with Phat Fabes and Serena C for a photo. I couldn't get PJ Roberts since he was quite preoccupied with other fans (and that one of my football-kakis was so depressed about the defeat he wanted to leave asap), but hey, Serena C will do :)

Note: The autographed prize happened to be Ronaldinho's signature on a Barcelona FC jersey. For more photos of the session final, log on to www.tigerfc.com.my

Preview of "Please Give Me a Job!" Episode 6

Yes, I got the job from the previous episode so I am not supposed to be in this episode.

However, while I was in Summit USJ to finalize my contract with Andaman Property Services I saw the remaining contestants running their errands for their new task.

Apparently the guys were doing some kind of event planning...which was what I really wanted!!!

Damn it...to get work with a property firm rather than an event management....

Then again, it's Summit Shopping Centre. A shopping mall that was never happening in the first place. Hmm....I wonder who will win this task?

I heard there was a really big drama that happened during their lunch break. Justin snapped and basically yelled at his team members. Wah lao...and just went I told my former roommate to keep it cool before I left the show...sigh! Basically, this might be the episode with the most arguments to date.

There's definitely a twist here...so don't even miss the first 5 minutes of the show!

I am quite glad I didn't have to get involved with this task...I probably couldn't stand making more stupid mistakes...and getting anymore backstabbing (or the other way around!), especially with a certain "smart-ass" fella around.

For all the things this person can say, I know I have the last laugh.

So guys, even though I am not in this show...do continue to watch "Please Give Me a Job!" this Sunday, 10.30p.m...and as always, on 8TV!

Oh yea...many, many thanks to everyone who supported me during the show and for those who gave me an honest opinion about my performances I really appreciate it. I will definitely improve myself!

Synopsis from 8TV:

The graduates get an opportunity to show off their organization skills as the put together an event for Summit Shopping Centre.

Organization: Summit Shopping Centre

Task: Working in 2 teams, the graduates battle it out against one another at Summit Shopping Centre. Working under a tight deadline, teams had to organize an event based on the given themes of “Lifestyle” & “Hair & Make-up”. Teams fought to get the shoppers attention and the attention of the panel judges!

Time allocated: 15 hours

P.S: Manchester United will win the FA Cup!Period!

Preview of "Please Give Me a Job!" Episode 5

Huh? To work in a property firm? Oh man...this is gonna be so boring!

Never in my life do I take any sort of interests in property...either than going 'Wow' over some super-cool buildings like those in Dubai and imagining how my bedroom would look like just by looking at the floor layout.

Andaman? What kind of company is this? This sounds like "Anda Man" (You Man)....

Sigh...and you know what is more depressing? It's the rumors about me that has been developing since the start of this show.

Apparently there are those who intended to "see me off".

As in, they would loved to get rid of me from continuing this show.

I don't know. It's all rumors. There's no credibility in this.

But you know, if it was true, I wish they would have just told me whatever they hate about me straight in the face. Especially when I don't know that my own actions made them dislike me in some way. Or that I'm "playing the game", "a bastard" or something like that.

I guess I've made too many mistakes. And the actions I've done for this task was too much a wrong move.

I regret this one action I've made.

Sigh.

Synopsis from 8TV:
7 remaining graduates embark into the world of property
development. Organization: Andaman Group (property developer)

Task: The teams battle it out as they strive to understand property development. Teams has to organize a cocktail reception

and create a marketing campaign and test its effectiveness by pitching it to real clients!

Time allocated: 8 hours

In case you haven't done it already, please tune in to "Please Give Me a Job!" this Sunday, 10.30p.m only on 8TV!

This is a story of an almost married couple.

I met this couple when I moved into my current place.

He is my landlord; the kind of guy you would consider as the "China man". Yeap, he's stingy with his money alright. Anyway, not only he has his own company, but he's also into selling original computer games as well as taking interests in stock market. I will not be surprised if he's into gambling as well. He's 33.

She is the landlord's fiance ; oh yea, she's HOT. No kidding. Besides helping out her man with his work, she basically spends her time watching Chinese soap operas, going to the gym and chatting with her friends loudly on the phone. She's 25.

Now, with such a sexy lady like her, you would have thought that my landlord is the luckiest guy in the world right?

Sadly, it did not seemed to be that way.

You see, this couple usually fight. There wasn't a week where there was no verbal argument between the two. The argument's normally work-related and it was in Cantonese (which I haven't grasp that dialect truly yet). Yet, those work-related issues became personal issues.

I wasn't used to the shouting at first, but eventually got settled to it...

...until two Saturdays ago.

It was the morning when the usual arguments came about. Ignoring them, I enjoyed my breakfast in the kitchen while the "battle" was in the living room.

Then, I heard papers flying and stuffs dropping on the floor.

Oh, the lady became a banshee!

She screamed in Cantonese, which I could barely interpret it as "something to do with being an insensitive asshole".

He reacted and started shouting at her too.

The screaming went on for about 2-3 minutes before the first silence came.

After that, they continued screaming.

Screaming.

And screaming.

Until I heard her falling onto the floor. That was when I finally need to know what happened.

He fucking pushed her to the floor!

She then started crying...her sadness...I tell you, if you were there, you can feel the extreme pain and depression she was feeling.

"Lei tar wo..."she said. I believed that means "You hurt me". She began to cry even louder.

It's like listening to someone who just lost her mother/father/best friend/dog/saw Chelsea losing the Premiership title to Manchester United. HA!.

I couldn't take my breakfast no more. It was that bad. Yet, I can't get involved. It was too personal an issue for me to get involved.

So I took a sneak peek at the living room. The next thing I know, that landlord of mine literally "rolled" her into the master bedroom, closed the door and screamed "Don't you even come out of this room!".

I had to leave the house momentarily. The environment's too uncomfortable for me. As I walked out of the house though, the landlord told me this:

"Don't worry about her. She's really crazy."

I just continued to walked out. In my heart though I said "For someone who actually called his wife-to-be crazy, you must be crazier to even be with her. Fuck, you're crazier for pushing her like that".

When I came back, it was fine again. At least, momentarily.

Fast forward to the Thursday after the incident:

I came back from work, feeling tired and just wanting to sleep. I was lying down on my bed when I heard yet another argument that happened around 8.3o p.m. .

This time though, it might be the last time I would heard a loud argument. Apparently, one of my housemates told me that the argument started since lunch time.

It was long.

I couldn't hear much about the fight, but I heard she was yelling to the lines of "Do you know how much hurt I endured being with you!?" and "How could you do this to me!?".

Around 11-ish p.m. I went to the living room, hoping that I could watch a bit of television. There she was, sitting on the sofa, looking at a folder.

I had to ask her what really happened.

She showed me a folder. The folder showed documents of the landlord's credit card usage.

The next thing I saw was a variety of health spas and hotels.

"He cheated on me", she muttered.

....

I was stunned.

She explained to me:

"My friend saw him at this health spa she worked for. I couldn't believe it too...considering that he's such a stingy and cheapskate fella...but when I looked at this, she was right. She was right all along...why would he spend so much on this!? And he did this for almost one year! You know, I checked the dates...and I was so disappointed with him on this particular date. The very date when he was saying ' I am so sorry darling...please come back to me' was the very same date he went to Sheraton hotel to fuck a slut! He even went to Holiday Villa...that's just right behind our house!!"

I had to be sure. "Did he confessed?"

"He did. That was the most painful line I have to listened..."

"I can't trust him anymore...I feel so shameful...how can I tell my mother like this? We're about to have our wedding photo shoot next week..."

Her eyes became teary. I passed her a tissue nearby, gave her some words of encouragement and made her Milo just to cheer her up a little. It was the best I could do...for she really needs her time on her own.

Since then, the young lady left the house and has not returned. Unsurprisingly, the landlord did not go into a bad depression. He may have some guilt, but from what I have observed, he really is one insensitive bastard.

I think you know the moral of the story.
