Miss Sarawak Model of the World 2009 - Before the final

Last week I was invited by one of the organizers of Miss Sarawak Model of the World 2009 to have a look at the finalists.

The preview of this event was held at Crowne Square. Here are the videos:

A couple of familiar faces; contestants #5 & #9 Criselda Ung and Amy Goh were the finalists from the Miss Sarawak Leisure that happened months ago.

CSL, a Malaysian-made mobile phone was featured as well.

I like contestant #4's dress :)

Charlene Choi, winner of last year's Miss Sarawak Model of the World was there as well. She showcased a couple of CSL phones (with Swarovki cystals...oh spare me the bling-ness!).

Up next: the finals. But you already know the winner, hey?

Miss Sarawak Model of the World 2009 Winner

Congratulations to Miss Cassandra for winning the Miss Sarawak Model of the World 2009.

1st runner-up goes to Miss Amy Goh (right) while Criselda Ung (left) is the 2nd runner-up.

Coincidentally, both Amy and Criselda held the very same positions at the Miss Sarawak Leisure World event earlier this year!

Videos of the Miss Sarawak Model of the World 2009 will be uploaded as soon as possible.

Geared up for the run!

This morning's Hilton-BCCK Dash for Charity was the very first time I am involved in a charity run.

I was a bit nervous, and I did not had enough sleep. But I certainly wanted to succeed at the task I was about to face.

I prepared myself with a brand new FILA sports shoe, and a can of Red Bull so to keep me awake.

My left hamstring wasn't all too well since I injured myself at a game of futsal last weekend, so I needed a pain-killing cream too.

So as such, I went to the Hilton at 5.45 AM. At around 7AM plus everyone was out and running and after 10AM the event was all over, with the winner just taking 33 minutes to reach BCCK from Hilton.

And how did I do?

I did very well thank you very much! :)

The Hilton-BCCK Dash For Charity preview

This Sunday, Kuching comes alive as you will see a lot of joggers in blue and green running or walking for the 8km Charity Joggerthon from Hilton Kuching all the way to Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK)!

As this year marks Hilton Kuching being 21 years old and BCCK going to open and make Kuching more happening, this companies decided to do some good and raise funds for not one but five charitable organisations that includes:

Sarawak Children's Cancer Society
Sarawak Breast Cancer Support Group
Persatuan Ibu Tunggal Sarawak
Lembaga Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim Sarawak
The Sarawak Chesire Home
Clouded Pawn

Not only were Hilton and BCCK are cool enough to help out the needy, but they are also cool enough to give away these prizes to the men and women (and the unmentionables) who made it to the Top Three:

2nd Runner up: Trophy + 1 night stay in a Suite Room at Hilton Kuching for 2 persons + Lunch at Hilton Kuching + Dinner at BCCK for 2 persons

1st Runner up: Same as above but you get laid sleep in a Sarawak Suite at Hilton Kuching instead.

Champion: A trophy to showoff + airtickets to Singapore inclusive of accommodation for 2 persons + Dinner at BCCK for 2

So come over this Sunday and support all of us yea? I know you will!

Now who says BCCK is so God-damn far away??

Big head!

Like the new layout? After five years, I have finally decided to ditch the boring template for something a lil' bit cooler.

This is temporary though. I find it difficult to get some determination to finish my proposal to a web design firm.

A worm for lunch

My colleague brought this 'snack' for lunch one day at the office.

It's some kind of fried worms. These worms apparently can be found inside bamboo? Anyway, I was curious if it may taste better the sago worms.

Actually, it tastes like green peas, rather than chick peas as mentioned in the video.

This time, I'm not too keen to have another bite of it in the future.

Her time is slowly coming to an end.

After six years together, my baby lost her natural eyesight.

Thankfully, her vitals are still intact, but she could barely see me now. She could only see a silhouette of me, and whenever she wakes up she see a flash of red before the darkness come to her.

Lucky for her there was a doctor who provided her vision, although she wasn't comfortable with the constant flickering of the temporary vision.

Then it hit me.

Can she hang on until I have enough money to move her soul to a new body?
